There’s something magical about elopements. They strip everything back to what truly matters: two people, their love, and the landscape that surrounds them.
Felix and Diana chose Wanaka, a place where raw mountains meet shimmering lakes, to promise their lives to one another. Their day was quiet and intentional, with the Southern Alps standing tall as their only witnesses and the soft breeze weaving through every vow.
We wandered together along the lakeside, finding hidden corners where they could simply be themselves — laughing, holding hands, sometimes saying nothing at all. Those still, unscripted moments are what I love most about elopement photography: the realness that shines through when there’s no audience, only love.
